Maps #33: Relocating with Online Maps

Activity 1:

I really like HAR. You can search for houses in a specific area. They have great pictures and the virtual tours make house hunting so much easier. I looked at lots of the houses that are for sale in my neighborhood. I had used the site before but not since they have made some changes. I like the new changes, it is easier to move around, loads faster.

Activity 2:

I chose 2435 Vintage Cir, because it was the most expensive. The page lists the school district as Fort Bend. The house has its own pool so I won't need to walk to the Country Club near by. This site also has links for near by places, the community, even a calculator to help you figure out if you can afford it. I would definately recommend HAR to anyone looking for a new place to live.

Maps #32: Current Events

Activity 1:

Question:

I have a rather large piece of land that I just inherited from my Uncle George. After looking at it I really feel that it is very plain. I think that if I were to put a crop circle on it it will have a better look and feel to it. Can you tell me where I can go to see what my property might look like with a crop circle?

Answer:

Go to this website, http://www.mapmsg.com/send/cropcircle/ for help in viewing what an area would look like with a crop circle.

Activity 2:

The School Incident Map - http://www.safeplans.com/schoolmap/ - was very disturbing. I had no idea that there were so many incidents at schools in the United States. The amount of bus accidents is concerning.

Maps #31: Have Map, Will Travel

This was fun. This is a map of my hometown. This would be great when planning a trip. You could us it in conjuction with so many things. You could use it when working on Genealogy, you can map out where family lived.
